ATHLETIC GROUPS
XMcDonald Baseball Association will meet at 6 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.
AUXILIARIES
XDistrict Eight VFW Auxiliary will hold its fourth regular meeting Sunday at the Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538 in Struthers. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. with registration from 7:30 to noon and the meeting from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nomination and election of officers for 2002-03 will be held with installation afterward. Faye Doyle will preside.
XEagles 213 Auxiliary will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the club on South Avenue with Melva Day presiding. Officers will meet at 7:15.
XGirard K. of C. Ladies will hold an indoor picnic Monday at the St. Rose Church hall starting at 7 p.m. This will be the group's last meeting of the season.

XChapter CE of PEO Sisterhood will meet for a noon luncheon Wednesday at Canfield Presbyterian Church. Sis Soller will present a program on watercolors, and Betty Whitman will be the hostess.
XItalamer Club will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at West Glen Eatery, Glenwood Drive. Hostesses will be Ida Caldrone, Rose Esposito and Dorothy Bagnoli.
XPoland Center Homemakers will meet from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at Poland United Methodist Church. Hostesses for the casserole luncheon will be LauraBelle Harris, Mary Karis and Jane Kerr. The craft will be paper beads. Members are to take glue and scissors.
XSteel Valley Harmonica Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Cornerstone Presbyterian Church, 471 Mathews Road, Boardman. The club meets the first and third Thursdays. New members are welcome. For information call (330) 758-5044.
XTri-County Chapter of Medical Assistants will hold its annual installation dinner Tuesday at the Holiday Inn in Boardman. A social hour will begin at 6:30 p.m. with dinner following at 7. Members, students and guests are welcome.

COMMITTEES
XWomen's Committee for Children's Concerts will hold a picnic meeting at 10 a.m. Monday at the Georgeanna Parker Center in Boardman Township Park. A final wrap-up of the Children's Concerts and summary reports will be given, and there will be installation of new officers. Those attending are asked to take their own mug; a picnic luncheon will be served. Hostesses will be Bette Dunn, Carol Good, Mary McMahon and Bess Veck.
FRATERNAL GROUPS
XMcDonald Knights of Columbus will meet at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the K. of C. Hall, Illinois Avenue.
GUILDS
XUnited Quilt Guild will hold its annual Challenge Contest on Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church, Second Street, Salem. Members will be displaying finished quilted items, and prizes will be awarded for the three best quilts and wallhangings and the best item of clothing/accessories. Members will vote for the winners. Quilted items must be taken to the church in a brown paper bag by 6:15 p.m.; there should be no name on the item or the bag. Members whose last names begin with M-Z and new members who joined at the December meeting or later will provide refreshments. Guests are welcome. RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XCourt St. Ann 1875, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will meet for a picnic Monday following the noon Mass at Holy Name Church. Members are asked to take a covered dish to share. There will be no July meeting.
XHoly Name of Jesus Ladies Guild will hold a picnic and meeting at noon Tuesday at the church hall in Youngstown.
XSt. Rose Altar and Rosary Society will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the parish house.
XUnited Methodist Women of Richard Brown Memorial United Methodist Church will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Community Center, 334 N. Pearl St. Each member is to take a lunch; beverages are provided. Those needing a ride should be at the church at 12:30. Barbara Jones is in charge, and Edith Thornton will give the blessing.
