Easter programming
CAMPBELL -- St. Lucy Roman Catholic Church will present an afternoon of sung prayer, praise and entertainment at 3 p.m. April 14 as part of its continuing celebration of the "Fifty Days of Easter." An offering will be taken.
Annual seminar
ANDOVER -- The Mary's and Martha's Ladies' group from Andover Church of Christ will present the 10th annual Heart to Heart Seminar at 6:30 p.m. April 12 and from 8 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. April 13. The theme will be "Celebrating Hearts." Lora Zill of Conneaut Lake will be the featured speaker. The cost is $5 for April 12 and $10 for April 13, or $12 for both. Call (440) 293-7437.
Women's lock-in
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Woman-to-Woman Ministry of New Bethel Baptist Church will hold its annual Women's Spring Lock-In from 9 p.m. April 12 to 6 a.m. April 13. The theme is "Women Building the Kingdom on a Solid Foundation."
The Rev. Gina Thornton, pastor of St. Paul AME Church of Cleveland, will speak on balancing church, family and work, and the Rev. Lorretta Pernice, pastor of Elam Christian Center in Warren, will speak on balancing the good and bad in one's spiritual, emotional and physical life. Admission is free.
Women's program
WARREN -- The women's ministry of Alpha and Omega Seventh-day Adventist Church will present Mae Salters and Sheryl Palmer of Temple of Praise Church in Ashtabula for a program from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 6.
Healing Mass set
COLUMBIANA -- A regional charismatic healing Mass will be at 3 p.m. April 14 with the sacrament of anointing of the sick in St. Jude Catholic Church. Ministry teams will be available for prayer after the Mass. The Rev. Jim Morman of the Franciscan University of Steubenville will preside. Call (330) 482-9263.
Habitat activities
YOUNGSTOWN -- Youngstown State University students are working from 9 a.m. to noon Saturdays on the latest Habitat for Humanity housing project in Mahoning County. The home is on Ridley Avenue. Lunch is provided. Anyone interested is welcome to help; no experience is needed.
A delegation of 17 students and three adults from YSU traveled to Atlantic Beach, Fla., to participate in Habitat for Humanity International's Collegiate Challenge Alternative Spring Break from March 8 to 17. The YSU group joined Beaches Habitat to help build six affordable duplex homes for the needy on one block. Harry Patrick, academic adviser in health and human services; the Rev. Kathryn Adams, Protestant campus minister; and Thomas Bagola, assistant Catholic campus minister, accompanied the students.
