AUCTIONS
XA family fun auction will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. April 21 at St. George Recreation Center, 271 W. Chestnut St., Lisbon. Auction items will include a mountain bike, crafts, wreaths and patriotic items. To donate items call (330) 424-9151. The event will include a special children's auction. A lunch will be available for purchase.
DANCES
XMahoning County Council for Retarded Citizens will hold a benefit dance from 8 to 11 p.m. April 13 at the Italian-American Veterans Centre, 115 S. Meridian Road. The cost for the adults-only event is $22.50 and includes beverage, setups and finger foods. Guests may provide their own beverages. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling the MCCRC office, (330) 707-1134. None will be sold at the door.
FASHION SHOWS
XKinsman Area Business and Professional Organization is sponsoring "Red, White and New," a luncheon and style show to be held at 1 p.m. April 6 at Kinsman Presbyterian Church, 6383 Church St., Kinsman. XLockwood United Methodist Church will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 4 and from 9 a.m. to noon April 5 at the church, 4570 Lockwood Blvd., Youngstown.
TRIPS
XMahoning Valley Historical Society is sponsoring a trip April 27 to the Titanic exhibition at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland. Departure will be at 9 a.m. from the society's parking lot. The cost is $40 for members and $45 for guests, and includes admission to the center and Titanic exhibit at 11:30 a.m., to the Omnimax theater at 2 p.m., and the regular science exhibits. Lunch is not included but will be available at three restaurants in the center buildings. The reservation deadline is April 10. For more information call (330) 743-2589.
