What: Beauty pageant featuring male political, business and community leaders from Lawrence County. All men must dress in drag and perform during the talent and poise portions of the pageant.
Why: To benefit the American Cancer Society's Relay For Life.
When: 7 p.m. April 21
Where: The Scottish Rite Cathedral in New Castle, Pa.
Who: Contestants will include New Castle Mayor Timothy Fulkerson; Lawrence County Commissioners Ed Fosnaught and Roger DeCarbo; Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce Director Robert McCracken; Weingartner Florist owners Tom and George Weingartner; New Castle School Board member Larry Nord and an array of other professional and community leaders.
Tickets: $10 per person; can be purchased at Weingartner's Florist, 2701 Wilmington Road; the American Cancer Society on Jefferson Street and four Pizza Joe's locations on Croton Avenue, Highland Avenue, West State Street and the Lawrence Village Plaza.
