YOUNGSTOWN -- The Rescue Mission of Mahoning Valley was the recipient of a $10,000 grant from The Youngstown Foundation, to be used to replace the security system in the resident building at 962 Martin Luther King Blvd.

Hot-line crisis training
YOUNGSTOWN -- Help Hotline Crisis Center, where people can call for information, referral, crisis intervention or suicide prevention, is offering free training classes for people interested in volunteering for the 24-hour hot line.
Classes will meet from 6 to 9:30 p.m. for five consecutive Mondays, beginning April 29, and also June 8 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers are asked to make a six-month commitment. For more information, contact Help Hotline at (330) 747-2696.
