GREENVILLE, Pa. -- In the opener, Tomcats first baseman Randy Chiquelin hit a grand slam, a two-run homer and a RBI single for seven RBIs. Titans pitcher Kevin Culp of Canfield took the loss, allowing eight earned runs on nine hitsIn the nightcap, Thiel third baseman Jon Spencer of Reynolds High had two singles with a RBI and run scored. Sophomore pitcher Caleb Goist of Columbiana allowed three earned runs on three hits in three innings. Goist had three hits and one RBI. For Westminster, Pat Boyle was the winning pitcher and shortstop Nathan Statzer had three hits and two steals. Thiel is 4-10; Westminster is 5-3, 1-1 in the Presidents Athletic Conference.
