Workshops to be held for home buyers

YOUNGSTOWN -- Two workshops for first-time home buyers are scheduled this week.
Family Financial Education Services, a program of Family Service Agency, is sponsoring a workshop from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday. This free workshop is designed to cover basic home buying information such as determining affordability, budgeting, credit problems and the loan application process. It will be at the Family Service Agency, 535 Marmion Ave.
All participants will receive a certificate of attendance that will satisfy the education requirements for some home mortgage programs. Call (330) 782-5664 to register.
Youngstown Area Urban League's homeowner seminar for first-time home buyers and some current homeowners will be at 5:30 p.m. Thursday in the YAUL offices, 1350 Fifth Ave.
The free seminar is designed to provide education and information in the process of buying or renovating a home and how to locate affordable housing.
