Hovaneses to mark 62nd year of marriage

AUSTINTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Michael Hovanes Sr. of Austintown will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary Friday during a private celebration at their home.
Mr. Hovanes and the former Helen Rohrbachur were married March 22, 1940, in New Castle, Pa. They have a son, Lee Hovanes of Youngstown, one granddaughter and one great-granddaughter. Another son, Michael Hovanes Jr., is deceased.
Mr. Hovanes, also known as "Leo," retired from Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown in 1975 after 40 years of employment as a mill hand. His wife is a homemaker.
The couple belong to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.
