LEETONIA -- "It's still very much under construction," Administrator Gary Phillips said of the village's developing Web site.
Village officials have launched a Web site at www.leetonia.org.
Information about the income tax office is available, and visitors to the site can download income tax forms, Phillips said.
Phillips said he hopes one day people can access the income tax forms and file them electronically. For now, however, the forms must be downloaded, filled out, then mailed or dropped off at village hall, he said.
Links: The Web site also contains links to the Leetonia schools and to the public library, he said.
Although the site is a bare-bones operation now, Phillips said it should be fully operational by September.
Phillips said he'd like to include links to the area chamber of commerce, and the Columbiana County Port Authority, to name a few.
The site will also include separate pages for village officials and the various departments, including safety services.
Phillips also said he'd like the Web site to include information about points of interest in the community, as well as updated photos and a community calendar.
"I think this will be a very good tool for the village," Phillips said. "It will be helpful for Realtors and others who want information about the community.
"We want out-of-town people to know that great things are happening here in our little community," Phillips said.
