Ohio ethics officer will speak at citizens' league dinner
YOUNGSTOWN -- David Freel, executive director of the Ohio Ethics Commission, will be the keynote speaker at the Citizens' League of Greater Youngstown's annual dinner at 6 p.m. April 3 at the Youngstown Club on East Commerce Street.
Freel's topic will be "Ethics is Everybody's Business: The Mahoning Valley at an Ethical Crossroads."

Details: Freel, a Niles native, has been the ethics commission's executive director since 1994, supervising a staff of 22 employees.
The commission's responsibilities include providing ethics advice to public officials and employees, managing financial disclosure made by 10,500 public officeholders and conducting public education and training.
The citizens' league describes itself as a nonpartisan group that combats organized crime and political corruption in the Mahoning Valley.
