Police investigate shooting at house

YOUNGSTOWN -- Police are investigating a New Middletown man suspected of spraying a Hilton Avenue home with gunfire and leaving explosives on the porch.
A 55-year-old woman told police six shots were fired at her Hilton Avenue home just after midnight Sunday, and she believes it is related to a confrontation her son had with the suspect. The woman told police she heard the shots around 12:34 a.m. and at least two of the rounds struck her house.
Police later recovered five spent shell casings in the area. Last week, explosives were discovered on the porch of the same residence.
