CAMPBELL Man reports being threatened at gunpoint outside city bar

CAMPBELL -- A 31-year-old Campbell man told police he was threatened at gunpoint outside Sippers Bar over the weekend.
He said a 24-year-old 7th Street man asked him to leave the Wilson Avenue bar for a talk around 10:17 p.m. Saturday.
The victim said that when they were outside the man put a gun to his chin and another to his temple. The suspect told him to stay away from his girlfriend, fired one shot into the ground, and threatened to kill the victim if he didn't do so.
In an unrelated matter, police arrested two city teen-agers Sunday morning after a traffic stop and subsequent tests revealed the abuse of alcohol, prescription drugs and illegal drugs such as cocaine.
Traffic stop: Police stopped the driver, an 18-year-old man, and his 19-year-old girlfriend who was a passenger, around 1:50 a.m. Sunday on Struthers-Liberty Road.
Police said the driver did not have his license and admitted drinking one beer, taking illegal drugs and some of his girlfriend's prescription drugs. He failed field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
A urine sample he submitted tested positive for cocaine, police said. He is in Campbell jail until his arraignment later this week in Campbell Municipal Court.
Police said they found two sealed beer bottles and one unsealed beer bottle in the car, which the woman said were hers. Police also said they found two suspected Valium pills, which the driver said he got from his girlfriend.
The woman was released on $2,500 bond pending her arraignment later this week.
