Samulkas honored at celebration for 50th jubilee

HUBBARD -- Mr. and Mrs. John Samulka of 33 School St. were honored Feb. 24 at a surprise party at The Gentry in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.
Arrangements for the festivity were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Susan and Mike Conroy of Hubbard, John and Peggy Samulka of Niles, and Debbie Wasserman of New Wilmington, Pa. Five grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Samulka and the former Shirley Paes were married Feb. 23, 1952, at St. Patrick Church. He retired from Commercial Shearing in Youngstown, where he was employed for over 19 years.
His wife is retired from the Hubbard Local Schools, where she worked for 15 years as a crossing guard.
