Hendrickses feted at surprise party for anniversary

GREENFORD -- Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur E. Hendricks of Greenford were honored Feb. 16 at a surprise reception held at McMahon Hall in Canfield in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.
Hosts for the event were the couple's children and their spouses, Linda Renkenberger of Boardman, Nancy and Bill Less of Greenford, and Tom and Tracy Hendricks of Austintown. Five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Hendricks and the former Florence McFalls were married Feb. 21, 1942, in Canfield. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and retired in 1985 from G.D. Edgerton and Son in Salem.
His wife, who is known as "Sparky," was employed by the Greenford Local School System for seven years and served as postmaster in Greenford for 25 years, retiring in 1991.
