How much it will cost
Warren will spend upwards of $729, 000 over the next five years to bring city buildings into compliance with the Americans With Disabilities Act of 1990. A breakdown of cost estimates:
First year: $130,000, with about $49,800 coming from the general fund. Officials say that $130,000 figure could rise because of Department of Justice mandates.Second year: $267,565, with $81,860 from the general fund. The rest would come from other city funds.Third year: $93,670, with $44,975 from the general fund.Fourth year: $189,635, with $40,490 from the general fund.Fifth year: $49,085, with $44,165 from the general fund.
