AUCTIONS
XGirard Senior Citizens will sponsor a Chinese auction from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall, 11 High St., S.E., Girard. Admission is $2, and refreshments and entertainment will be provided.
CARD/BINGO PARTIES
XOur Lady of Holy Rosary Guild will sponsor a card party at 4 p.m. Sunday at the educational center, 219 E. Wood St., Lowellville. The cost is $4.
XA card party with bingo will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary Church hall, Route 46, Mineral Ridge. The doors will open at 1:30 p.m. Cost is $4; tickets will be sold at the door.
CELEBRATION
XSt. Patrick Church will hold a St. Patrick Day event Sunday at the church hall, 1420 Oak Hill, Youngstown, following the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Dinner will be served, and there will be prizes and entertainment by the Golden Age Follies and County Mayo. Admission is $9 for adults and $5 for children under 10. Tickets are available in advance only by calling the rectory, (330) 743-1109, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
CRAFT SHOWS
XA craft show will be held at St. Elizabeth Health Center from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday at the first-floor Park Avenue entrance as a benefit for the REACH program.
SALES
XCanfield Presbyterian Church, 140 W. Main St., will hold a trash and treasurer sale, silent auction and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Saturday. A soup and sandwich luncheon will be available from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
TOURS
XMahoning Valley Archeological Society will sponsor a trip May 4 to Mound City, Great Serpent Mound and Fort Ancient. Departure will be 6 a.m. from parking lot M24 at Youngstown State University.
