Police, agents arrest man on warrant
CAMPBELL -- A combined force of police officers and federal agents located and arrested a 64-year-old city man who was found with about 9 ounces of suspected cocaine and about $11,000.
Officers from the Campbell Police Department and the Mahoning County Violent Crimes Task Force, along with Drug Enforcement Administration and FBI agents, executed a search warrant for the man at Piccadilly Street around 4 p.m. Wednesday.
They found him at a Robinson Road residence. Police said the man attempted to flee but was captured.
Campbell Detective Manuel Darkadakis said drug paraphernalia and a small amount of suspected cocaine was recovered at the Piccadilly residence. He added the man has a criminal record.
The man is scheduled for arraignment Friday morning in Campbell Municipal Court.
