Delphi Packard names new line executive

WARREN -- Delphi Packard Electric Systems has named Paul Miller as business line executive for electrical and electronic distribution systems, replacing Chuck Cunningham.
Cunningham is retiring June 1 after 30 years at Packard.
Miller comes to Packard from Delphi Delco Electronics, where he was the general director of global sales and marketing and a member of the division's executive leadership committee.
Jim Spencer, Packard president, has divided the division's operations along product lines. Business line executives oversee all operations that affect those product lines.
Experience: Spencer said he picked Miller for the electrical and electronic line because of his global experience and understanding of customers in the automotive industry and other industries.
"Electronics are rapidly becoming a key aspect of Delphi's automotive systems and essential for growth in other markets. Paul's insight will help us work closely with Delphi Delco Electronics to enable that growth and development to continue," he said.
Miller began his career with General Motors in 1979 at Buick, where he had a number of positions in materials management, purchasing and other areas. He later worked for GM in Taipei, Malaysia and Australia. He joined Delphi Delco in 1997 as global purchasing director.
Cunningham was named business line executive when the positions were created last year. Before that, he was regional director for all of Packard's North American operations. He began his career with Packard in 1972 as a production supervisor in Warren.
