Cemetery cleanup set
YOUNGSTOWN -- The annual cleanup of Tod Homestead Cemetery will be March 15. All decorations will be removed. People who wish to recover decorations must do so before that date.
Volunteers for VALU
YOUNGSTOWN -- Northeast Ohio Legal Services is seeking volunteers for its VALU Program. Volunteers assist victims of domestic violence with the process of obtaining a civil protection order. Volunteers must complete 16 hours of training, and be available twice a month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Training begins April 1. Those interested should contact the VALU office at (330) 742-5857. Deadline is March 15.
Entries for contest
Entries are being sought for the third annual statewide oratorical contest sponsored by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Commission.
Children in grades kindergarten through 12 are encouraged to participate. The registration deadline is March 15. Essays are due in the commission office and must be postmarked by March 22.

Easter Bunny to arrive
BOARDMAN -- Shoppers can hop into the Easter spirit with the arrival of the Easter Bunny at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Southern Park Mall's Center Court. Shoppers are invited to visit and get their pictures taken with the Easter Bunny.
The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with Baffling Bill the Magician, who will make the Easter Bunny magically appear. While at the mall, shoppers can also enjoy the Mahoning County Model Club's Model Aircraft Show.
