YOUNGSTOWN -- Mill Creek Park's outdoor ice rink has closed for the season.
Valley Sting places sixth
AKRON -- Valley Sting's 12-younger team finished in sixth place in the Spano Dome Tournament. The Sting went 3-1, losing to Ohio Ice White, 3-2.
Caitlyn Youngs tossed two one-hitters and struck out 24 batters. Markie Pozzuto tossed a two-hitter and struck out 10 in the Sting's other win. Youngs, Pozzuto and Danielle Burin each had three hits.

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. -- Wrestler Jeff Linn capped his final collegiate season by becoming Thiel College's 17th All-American after his seventh-place finish than the NCAA Division III Wrestling Championships.
Linn, of Carnegie, Pa., and a graduate of Chartiers Valley, defeated Ithaca College's Marc Israel 5-3 in the 141-pound match for seventh place.

Nets' Martinsuspended
NEW YORK -- Kenyon Martin of the New Jersey Nets was suspended for one game by the NBA after being called for his sixth flagrant foul of the season.
Six flagrants mean an automatic one-game suspension. Martin will miss tonight's road game against the Los Angeles Lakers.

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Portland Trail Blazers forward Shawn Kemp was reinstated by the NBA after serving a five-game suspension for violating the league's anti-drug agreement.
Kemp was suspended indefinitely on Feb. 22. At the time of his suspension, the league announced that Kemp would have to sit out until he resumed full compliance with his treatment program.
