AKRON -- The wedding of Christina Gurnak and Brandon Todd Aldan took place at 6 p.m. Feb. 1 at Martin University Center.
The bride's uncle, the Rev. Robert Gurnak, officiated for the daughter of Phyllis Nuzzie of Lake Milton and the late Greg Gurnak Sr. and the son of Cindy Aldan of Struthers and David Aldan of Poland.
A reception took place at the center.
The couple spent their honeymoon at the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City.
They are living in Cleveland Heights.
The bride's gown was designed with spaghetti straps and a beaded bodice trimmed with lace. It featured a split skirt of tulle.
Honor attendants were Kate Donatella and the bride's sister-in-law, Jenny Gurnak. They wore plum-colored gowns, as did the bridesmaids, Kate Varley, the bride's cousin, and Carrie Jones. The groom's nieces, Carly and Mandy Carcelli, served as flower girls.
Justin Kosek performed the duties of best man, and groomsman was the bride's brother, Greg Gurnak Jr.
A graduate of Kent State University, Mrs. Aldan is a project manager in the public- relations group with Marcus Thomas LLC in Cleveland.
Her husband holds a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University and is an exercise physiologist at The Competitive Edge in Austintown.
