The Heltons mark 50th at family event

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Helton, 5136 Pinecrest Ave., observed their 50th wedding anniversary during a family celebration June 8 at Rachel's Steak and Seafood in Boardman.
The former Peggy Denny and Mr. Helton were married May 25, 1952.
A son, Douglas Helton, lives in Indian Springs, and a daughter, Cynthia Helton, is deceased.
Mr. and Mrs. Helton are members of Highway Tabernacle Assembly of God in Austintown.
Mrs. Helton is a homemaker.
Retiring in 1998, Mr. Helton worked at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown. He served in the U.S. Air Force.
The family circle includes seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
