The Cragels celebrating 50 years of marriage



DUNDEE, Fla. -- A late-June family dinner party was held in celebration of the 50th wedding anniversary of former Youngstown residents Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Cragel of Dundee.
The Cragels lived here for 18 years and moved to Chicago then Florida.
The former Barbara J. Ingraham and Mr. Cragel were married June 28, 1952, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown in a double ceremony with Mr. Cragel's sister, Helen, and her husband, George Zenevich of Hubbard.
Mr. Cragel retired from Republic Steel Corp. in Youngstown and Chicago as a general foreman after 32 years of service. He also was the public-works director of Dundee and worked for Adam's Building Materials. Mr. Cragel served on the Dundee town council for six years. He is a member of Western Star Lodge 21 of Boardman and Scottish Rite in Tampa, Fla.
Mrs. Cragel retired from McDonald's restaurant.
Their daughters are Valerie Dapkus of Dundee and Elaine Demzien of Munster, Ind.
