Morrises mark 50th anniversary at dinner party

YOUNGSTOWN -- Mr. and Mrs. John J. Morris of 3842 Oran Drive were honored June 29 at a Mass at Holy Name of Jesus Church for their golden wedding anniversary.
A dinner followed at Rachel's Steak and Seafood in Boardman with the couple's children and their spouses, James W. Morris of Youngstown, John and Darlene Morris of Canfield, Gregory and Rene & eacute; Morris of Chagrin Falls and Julieann Morris of Youngstown, as hosts. Three grandchildren complete their family.
The Morrises were married June 28, 1952, at Holy Name of Jesus Church. Mr. Morris retired in 1982 from the stamping plant of Chrysler Corp. in Twinsburg.
His wife, the former Jay M. Puhalla, retired in 1977 from the Voyager, where she was head of catering.
The couple belong to St. Christine Church.
