Berlin Lake Safety Day
The Berlin lake Safety Council will hold a safety day at the lake's Bedell Road day use area from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. July 13.
There will be free exhibits and demonstrations by Cleveland Metro Life Flight helicopter, Mahoning County Sheriff's Department dive team, information on water safety awareness, canine search and rescue and much more.
A lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Stamp winner named
Artwork of a hooded merganser by Brian Blight of Pennsylvania won first place at this year's Ohio Wetlands Habitat Stamp design competition. Blight's painting will appear on the Ohio wetlands stamp for the fall of 2003.
Waterfowl hunters and collectors purchase more than 35,000 of the $11 wetlands stamps every year. Proceeds fund waterfowl habitat restoration projects that benefit Ohio.
