ABWA chapter names representative



WARREN -- A highlight of the June 4 meeting of Warren Charter Chapter of American Business Women's Association was the selection of Verna Williams as the chapter's nominee for Top 10 Business Women of the Year.
She will represent the chapter at the national convention to be held Dec. 4-8 at Nashville.
Williams, who has served as treasurer for the past three years, was also the chapter's Top 10 nominee in 1999.
She has been associated with Kent State University for 19 years and is director of career services for students at the Trumbull Campus.
Williams also is secretary-treasurer of the Lions Club International and is the first woman to be elected deputy district governor. She is a member of Altrusa Club, is chaplain of the Eastern Star, and has gone through all the chairs of White Shrine of Jerusalem and Eastern Star. She also is past noble grand of Rebekah Lodge 453 of Warren.
