MILL CREEK PARK Cost changes



The Mill Creek park board voted to reduce the cost of playing golf on the park course as well as reserving some park facilities. The facilities affected by the changes are:
Golf course: Local golfers from Mahoning County had been required to pay $20.50 for playing 18 holes at the course on weekends. The board eliminated the weekend rates, and golfers now will pay $17.50 to play 18 holes. Rates for local seniors and people younger than 19 did not change. The fees remain unchanged for the Par 3 course.
Scholl, Wick, and Struthers pavilions: Local residents had been required to pay $45 on weekdays and $50 on weekends and holidays to rent the pavilions from 7 a.m. until dark. The board voted Monday to allow local residents to rent the pavilions from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. or from 3-9 p.m. on weekends, weekdays and holidays for $25 each. Local residents also can rent the pavilions from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. for $45 each on weekdays or $50 on weekends and holidays.
Pioneer Pavilion and Yellow Creek Lodge: Local residents had been required to pay $145 to rent the facilities for a maximum of six hours during the day, or $215 if the event was going to last past 6 p.m. to midnight. The board voted to allow residents to pay $100 for a maximum of four hours during the day or $145 if the event is going to last after 6 p.m. to midnight.
McMahon Hall at the experimental farm: Local residents had been required to pay $190 to rent the facilities for a maximum of six hours during the day, or $255 if the event was going to last past 6 p.m. to midnight. The board voted to allow residents to pay $130 for a maximum of four hours during the day or $170 if the event goes past 6 p.m. and extends to midnight.
