DIANE MAKAR MURPHY Entertainment from an owner's manual

Owner's manual. Angle grinder -- tool for grinding metal. Bought at garage sale last weekend.
Made in China; instructions translated into English. Source of endless amusement to new American owners. Accurately quoted below:
"This product is electric angler grinder which has a double insulated structure.
"1. The windings of stator and armature are made of high intensity pikycster insulated round the copper wirehad got special insulation treatment." (Say what?!)
"... The iron core is pressured into the armature shart directly and is solidly connected with phenolic glassick and plastic ...
"2. The switch: It can be turned on or off speedly and be self-looked.
"3. The reducer: The casing and its intermediate bon net are die casted with aluminium alloy and are lasting ... The spced and the direction of movement are changed with spiral vevcl geats in grinder." (Whoa! THAT sounds painful.)
"4. The cord and the plut: It is two-core soft cord with a diode-plug. One end of the cord is set by a insulated protecting sleeve into the housing to protect the cord. the other end is connected with the plub rag and pressured into rubber to make the supply plug not to be dismantled."
Safety instructions
Now that we completely understand the design, it's time to learn the "IN STRUCTIONS FOR SAFETY. OPER A TION AND MAIN TEN ANCE":
"Work in suitable clothes and with safety goggles. Concentrate on your work, keep your footing and maintain your balance. If you o-peate outdoor, we suggest you put on the antiskid shoes." (Hey, if you opiate outdoors, you BETTER have on antiskid shoes -- and make sure your mother isn't watching!)
"After the grinder start, it can not be used until the speed of the wheel is constant. . . When the tool is operated with a cutting disc, it is not allowed to swing the tool." (Always good advice -- same applies to power and chain saws.)
"The wheel for use must be in good condition. Being beaten gently with a wood hammer, it must have not cracking sound.
''Except for the people concerned, keep anyone away from the work area for safety ...
"The tool must not be used in specific environment of moisture beat, rain or smow and at a place with explosive gas or corrosivevapour." (Of course, we all know not to use a power tool around explosive gas, but that tip about beat and smow is a good one.)
More tips
Here's another important tip: "Do not change the plug and insert the naked wire directly in the socket." (Now THAT would be embarassing!)
"Prevent the tool from starting unexpectedly. When carrying the tool and putting the plug into a socket, the switch shoud be at the OFF position."
"Do not use power supply cord indiscriminately. The cord should not be lengthened or change at will. The tool should not be carried by holding the cord. The cord should not contact any heat source or oil and should be protected from being scrapde cut or jammed.
"Keep the plenty grease in the gear box and bearing chamber..." (Where ELSE would you keep the plenty grease?)
If you were wondering what to do should you ever need to repair your angle grinder, "Keep well each part and replce parts with the same ones. While disassembling the tool, care must be taken to keep all the disassembled parts. Damaged parts must be replaced with new same ones. When they areto fixed, you have to place them in their original positions and keep them from bding omittded... Having been laid idle for a long time, the tool should be teated before use."
And finally, words of advice that I think apply, really, to much more than just angle grinders, maybe even to life itself: "[The tool] must be Kept in anx environment where the air is dry clean and free from corrosive vapour."
