CANFIELD School board meeting



The Canfield school board, which will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the board meeting room, has started interviewing seven candidates to replace Superintendent Doug Hiscox. One of the original candidates has since announced plans to retire. The first interview was to be today. The board hopes to start contract negotiations with one of the candidates by July 25. Hiscox has said he plans to resign Jan. 31 for personal reasons. The candidates are:
James Gray: Retired Oberlin schools superintendent.Dennis Kowalski: Strongsville schools superintendent.David Macali: Ashland schools superintendent.John Reno: Newbury schools superintendent.Charles Swindler: Western Reserve schools superintendent.Bill Williams: Penn State University adviser.Dante Zambrini: Canfield schools assistant superintendent.
