SUMMER ART Valley Arts Guild

The Valley Arts Guild, 10 Vine Ave., Sharon, has scheduled its 2002 summer program for children. The fee is $10 per class per child, and children who will be staying all day should pack a lunch. Classes are limited to 15 students, and registration must be completed by July 3. Call (724) 983-1834 for information. The classes are:
JULY 8-12.
Jewelry: Ages 7 and up. Meets from 10 a.m. to noon. Students make their own jewelry.
Drawing: Ages 7 and up. Meets from 10 a.m. to noon.
Masterpiece: Ages 7 and up. Meets from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students learn about a painter and create their own masterpieces.
African Drumming: Ages 7 and up. Meets from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. West African songs will be featured as students learn to play four instruments.
JULY 15-19.
Medieval Times: Ages 7 to 10. Meets from 10 a.m. to noon. Students learn about life in a castle and build their own version.
Cartooning: Ages 8 and up. Meets from 10 a.m. to noon.
Clay: Ages 7 and up. Meets from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students create various objects out of clay.
Under the Sea: Ages 7 to 10. Meets from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students learn how to create an aquarium mural.
JULY 22-26.
Let's Visit the Zoo: Ages 7 to 10. Meets from 10 a.m. to noon. Students create their own mini zoos using clay and other materials.
Spanish Uno: Ages 8 and up. Meets from 10 a.m. to noon. Introductory Spanish.
Variety Pack: Ages 7 and up. Meets from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. One week of projects with watercolor, collage drawing and more.
A Trip Around the World: Ages 7 to 10. Meets from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students discover the world through books and create their own drawings and prints of places they travel.
Marionettes: Ages 7 and up. Meets from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Students make their own marionettes and prepare a performance.
JULY 29-AUG. 2.
Room With a View: Ages 7 to 10. Meets from 10 a.m. to noon. Students use their imaginations to create a room using clay, paint and oil pastels.
