ERIE, Pa. -- Nuptial vows were exchanged during a 7 p.m. ceremony May 24 as Pamela Kovach and Jason Galitsky were united in marriage by the Rev. James Piszker at Christ the King Chapel on the campus of Mercyhurst College.
Parents of the bride are Stephen and Loretta Kovach, 2301 Innwood Drive, Austintown, and the groom is a son of Marcella Galitsky, 4562 Sheffield Drive, Austintown, and the late Gary Galitsky.
A dinner followed the ceremony, and a reception was held in honor of the couple on May 25 at the Lockwood House,Boardman.
After a honeymoon at the Pocono Mountains, the couple live in Austintown.
The bride wore a satin A-line gown styled with short off-the-shoulder sleeves and a chapel train enhanced with ribbon detailing.
Wearing light-blue gowns were the honor attendant, Kim Vulcan, and the bridesmaids, Missy Galitsky, a sister of the groom; Karen VanDyke, the bride's sister; and Maggie Medlin.
Gabriel Whorten performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Adam Bodnar, the groom's cousin; Stephen Kovach, a brother of the bride; and Nick Sabino.
The bride holds an associate degree in applied science from Youngstown State University and is a dental hygienist with Dr. Bradley K. Jeren of Lake Milton and Dr. Terry L. Wyand of Canfield.
The groom, a job trainer with the Burdman Group Inc., Youngstown, graduated from YSU with a bachelor's degree in education.
