YOUNGSTOWN -- Cornersburg Baptist Church was the setting May 25 for the wedding of Nicole Marie Kountz, daughter of Melaine Kountz of Baileyville, Maine, and the Rev. Glenn Kountz of Youngstown, and Brian Matthews, son of Sandra and James Sprague, 65 Boardman St., Calais, Maine.
The bride's father officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and a reception followed at Sts. Peter and Paul Orthodox Center.
The couple are living in Youngstown.
The bride wore a strapless, two-piece, satin gown. The bodice was enhanced with lace, and pearls, and a matching organza shawl completed her ensemble.
Shauna DeRaps of Baileyville, the bride's sister, was honor attendant wearing a silver gown. Gowned in rose-pink were the bridesmaids, Jessica Merrill of Youngstown, her sister, and Amanda Tirrell of Calais. Flower girls were the bride's sisters, Christina and Vanessa Kountz of Youngstown.
The duties of best man were performed by Neal Bohonan of Calais, and serving as groomsmen were Joe Stanley of Princeton, Maine, and Rod Tirrell of Calais. The bride's cousin, Donny Kountz of Youngstown, was ring bearer.
Mrs. Matthews is employed as a manager at Pizza Hut.
Her husband is a laborer at Hickory Hill Farms.
