Merediths mark 65th anniversary at family dinner

YOUNGSTOWN -- A family dinner was held June 5 at the Red Lobster in Boardman in celebration of the 65th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Meredith of 1122 Sharlene Drive.
Mr. Meredith and the former Ann Pacac were married June 5, 1937, at Concordia Lutheran Church, where they are members and Mrs. Meredith served as an organist for many years. She also worked as a clerk for Gray Drug Co. for 11 years.
Her husband served on an aircraft carrier during World War II and retired in 1977 after 30 years as a firefighter with the city of Youngstown. He also worked at O'Neal Awning Co. He is a member of the Police and Fire Retirees.
The couple have three children, LeRoy Meredith of Indian Head, Md.; Dennis Meredith of Springtown, Texas; and Carole Zimmerman of Boardman. They also have five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
