Felicitares hold fund-raising banquet at civic center

SHARON, Pa. -- The Felicitares of the Ruth Mitchell Tucker Girls' Youth Department, Deborah Grand Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Prince Hall Affiliation, held its second annual fund-raising banquet June 1 at the Shenango Valley Civic Center.
In attendance at the event were several former Felicitares, Eastern Star and Masonic members, as well as representatives from the Conscious Orphaites 21 of Erie, Pa., and 8th District mother advisers Lorretta Hansbrew and Lula C. Smith.
Guest speakers were Dr. Clarice Flint Ford and Candy Elam. The invocation was given by Tasha Spencer, and the welcome was given by Brittany Jacoway.
Also participating in the program were Gloria Spencer, Louise Morrison, Clyde Stevenson, Mavis Shannon, Charlotte Somerset, Martha and Alexander Cromartie, and Betty Dickens. The Rev. Vermelle Arnett gave the benediction.
