YOUNGSTOWN -- A reception in the Stambaugh Auditorium ballroom honored Brian Matthew Vondran and his bride, the former Erin Elizabeth Metzinger, both of Cincinnati, after they exchanged marriage vows during a ceremony June 8 at St. Columba Cathedral.
Monsignor Lawrence Fye officiated at the noon service for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard L. Metzinger of Liberty Township and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Vondran of Cincinnati.
The newlyweds honeymooned on St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, and live in Cincinnati.
Jeweled, beaded trim adorned the bride's strapless, A-line gown of summer satin detailed with covered buttons down the back.
Wearing daffodil-colored dresses were Erin Driskell of Cincinnati, matron of honor; Megan McKenna of Columbus, maid of honor; and Candace Levy of Columbus, bridesmaid.
Jim Vondran of Cincinnati performed the duties of best man for his brother. Groomsmen were Sean Walsh of Cincinnati and Ryan Metzinger of Youngstown, brother of the bride.
Other wedding participants were Bethany Vondran of Cincinnati, the groom's sister-in-la; Grace Lame of Chicago; and Shannon Martin of Cleveland.
Mr. and Mrs. Vondran are graduates of Miami University of Ohio. The bride, who earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education, is a history teacher at Oak Hills High School in Cincinnati. The groom received a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting and is a senior auditor with the Kroger Co. in Cincinnati.
