KILL DEVIL HILLS, N.C. -- The beach at Kill Devil Hills provided the setting June 1 for the wedding of Amanda Joy Swegan, daughter of Alvin and Ruth Swegan, all of 129 N. Lakeview Ave., Youngstown, and Adam Terence Shreve, son of Terence and Brenda Shreve, all of 1523 Lakewood Drive, Woodbridge, Va.
Ed Fernandez officiated at the noon ceremony, and later the newlyweds received guests at Peppercorns in the Ramada Inn.
A beaded bodice and sweep train detailed the bride's organza A-line gown with cap sleeves.
Mr. and Mrs. Shreve graduated from Cincinnati Bible College in Cincinnati. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in Biblical studies, and she earned a bachelor's degree in Christian education. They are employed by Kelly Services in Washington, D.C.
Jennifer Mackey of Austintown, cousin of the bride, was honor attendant. She wore a periwinkle gown, as did the bridesmaids, Natalie Pater of Fairfield; Rebecca Gore of Alexandria, Va., sister of the groom; and Joclyn Weber of Cincinnati.
Performing the duties of best man was Brandon Lavelle of Cincinnati. Groomsmen were Ronald Gore of Alexandria, the groom's brother-in-law; Nathan Derico of Cincinnati; and Jodie Otte of Louisville, Ky.
The newlyweds honeymooned at Lake Tahoe, Calif. They live in Woodbridge.
