POLAND Meeting is set on upgrading of Route 224



Proposed improvements include resurfacing with a skid-resistant material.
RAVENNA -- The Ohio Department of Transportation will conduct a public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday to discuss and receive comments about the proposed U.S. Route 224 improvement project in Mahoning County.
The meeting will be at Poland High School, 3199 Dobbins Road.
The proposed project includes:
UImprovements to the pavement on Route 224 and resurfacing with a skid-resistant material from Riverside Drive to the Ohio-Pennsylvania line.
UAdding left-turn lanes to all four approaches and upgrading the traffic signal at the Route 224-Clingan Road intersection.
UAdding left-turn lanes to Route 224 at Struthers Road and installing an overhead flashing signal.
Comments on the project may be submitted during the public meeting or by mailing them by July 19 to Mohamed Darwish, District 4 Deputy Director, ODOT, 705 Oakwood St., Ravenna 44266, to the attention of William E.
