Photo symposium, show to open at KSU

KENT -- The 41st annual Technical Symposium of the University Photographers Association of America, and an open exhibition of the work of about 24 award-winning photographers, begin Monday at Kent State University.
The symposium, open only to registered participants, is Monday through Friday, and includes a photo shoot in Cleveland, with the results to be displayed Friday at the annual awards dinner.
The exhibition, at the School of Art Gallery, runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, from Monday through July 3.
Photographs in the exhibit include works from the UPAA traveling show that have won in the group's annual competition, as well as photos representing the best work of several KSU photographers.
