YOUNGSTOWN -- The Mayor's Task Force on Crime and Violence Prevention is seeking sponsors for its sixth annual Peace Award Recognition Banquet.
Banquet proceeds will go to the Help Hotline Crisis Center. Sponsorship levels include gold at $1,000, silver at $500 and bronze at $250. The group also is selling ads for the event's program.

Culvert work forcesclosings on 2 roads
YOUNGSTOWN -- Pine Lake Road, between state Route 534 and Smith-Goshen Road in Goshen Township, will be closed Tuesday, and Beloit-Snodes Road, between state Route 14 and Western Reserve Road, will be closed Thursday. Both closings are for culvert replacements. The Mahoning County Engineer's Office will post detours.
