Task force raids home; man to face charges

WARREN -- An Ohio Avenue man was to be charged this morning in municipal court after agents from the Trumbull County Drug Task Force and federal Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms raided his house.
"Neighbors were complaining about crack dealers, and there were enough complaints that we were able to do an investigation," a drug task force spokesman said this morning.
The agents raided the home of the 41-year-old man at about 4:30 p.m. Thursday and arrested him.
Small amounts of crack cocaine were found inside the home.
"The neighbors were getting threats from dealers at all hours of the day," the task force spokesman said.
Two others at the home also were to be arraigned today, one on a felony drug possession charge and the other on a charge of complicity to drug trafficking.
No one was injured in the raid, but one of the agents narrowly escaped being hit by a vehicle occupied by two people fleeing the house.
Agents arrived as the two people were leaving. When one agent tried to stop them, he was forced to jump out of the way to avoid being hit, the spokesman said.
