Judge sentences Poland man in pandering case

WARREN -- A Poland man must spend 30 days in Trumbull County Jail and five years on probation after being convicted on five counts of pandering sexually oriented material involving minors and a misdemeanor charge of criminal child enticement.
Judge John M. Stuard of Trumbull County Common Pleas Court sentenced Randall K. Bryant, 26, of Oak Drive on Thursday.
As a term of his probation, Bryant must spend five years under house arrest. He is allowed to leave his home only for school, work and treatment.
Bryant pleaded guilty and was convicted of the charge in March. Five additional pandering charges against him were dismissed as part of the plea agreement.
He was accused of enticing an 8-year-old boy who lives in a Weathersfield mobile home park into his car last September by offering to buy the boy a frog. Authorities said Bryant's computer discs contained photographs of children. Police found the boy unharmed, in the car with Bryant, within about an hour.
The judge also ordered Bryant to complete a treatment program and to have no contact with children. Bryant also is prohibited from using computers or the Internet throughout his probation, the judge ordered.
