Daughters of American Revolution chapter conducts induction ceremony
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Daughters of American Revolution, Mahoning Chapter, conducted an installation ceremony during the June 11 meeting at Poland United Methodist Church.
Inducted for another term as regent of the chapter was Joanne Collier, and resuming their positions as her associate officers were Peg Davis, chaplain; Irene Houk, corresponding secretary; and Joan Lewis, registrar.
The installation ceremony was conducted by Sally Moldovan, director.
A national defense report was given by Isabel Wymer, and helpful household hints were presented by Harold Bailey, "The Friendly Trapper."
Mrs. Collier has served the chapter as recording secretary, has headed the program and public relations committees, and has participated in the American History Essay contests in schools. She is the organist at Greenford Christian Church and lives with her husband, William, in Boardman. Their daughter, Connie Collier, is also a chapter member.
