NEW CASTLE, PA. Italian Celebration adds extra events

This is the festival's second year.
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- The second annual Lawrence County Italian Celebration has grown from a one-day to a two-day event in just one year.
The festival will be from 7 a.m. to midnight Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Cascade Park.
Marilyn Seech, celebration president, said the festival was originally going to be a one-time event, but after seeing the tremendous support from the business community, Seech and her committee decided to do it again and also to add an extra day.
"With 52 percent of the Lawrence County population being Italian, it is no wonder why this is so successful," Seech said.
Dodge is the event's headline sponsor and will feature a remote control NASCAR Track and a NASCAR simulator car.
Tickets for the celebration are $5 for a one-day pass and $8 for a two-day pass. Children 12 and under will be admitted free.
All children's activities will also be free of charge.
