Deputies have to subdue Youngstown man at divorce trial

YOUNGSTOWN -- It took 10 Mahoning County deputy sheriffs to subdue and handcuff a city man who became belligerent during his divorce trial.
The 43-year-old Fifth Avenue man was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest Wednesday after he pushed a deputy who had several times ordered him to stop yelling.
Sheriff's reports say the man was in Judge Beth Smith's courtroom at the county courthouse for a contested divorce hearing when he began talking back to the judge, refused to answer questions from the judge and attorneys and yelled at people to stay away from him while leaving the courtroom during a recess.
It took 10 deputies to get the man under control.
Earlier in the hearing, Judge Smith found the man in contempt of court and fined him $100 for his actions after warning him about his behavior several times, reports say.
Deputies took the man to the courthouse security office before taking him to the county jail. He was scheduled for arraignment later today.
