Children's Aid Society sets golf event

BROOKFIELD -- The Children's Aid Society of Mercer County, Pa., will sponsor its 12th annual "Golfing for Kids" benefit July 10 at Yankee Run Golf Course.
Registration is set for 8 a.m. to be followed by a shotgun start at 9.
The event will be a four-person scramble, and the registration fee of $65 per golfer will include 18 holes of golf, cart equipped with Global Positioning Satellite, coffee, doughnuts, mid-morning snack and a buffet dinner.
There will be team prizes for men's and women's divisions of $400 to the first-place team and $200 to the second-place teams. There will be hole-in-one prizes of a car and round-trip airfare for two, and there also will be a raffle for a limited edition print of Sam Snead.
