NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- McConnell's Mill Bridge on McConnell's Mill Road in Slippery Rock Township will be closed for repairs Monday through Friday. The bridge will be closed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will reopen at the end of each work day.
Right to Life convention
PITTSBURGH -- The National Right to Life convention will be June 27, 28 and 29 at the Hyatt Regency Pittsburgh Airport Hotel. The featured speaker is newspaper columnist Cal Thomas.

Italian pageant
WARREN -- The 18th Annual Warren Italian American Festival is accepting applications for the Tiny King and Queen Pageant.
Contestants must be of Italian heritage, between the ages of 3 and 5, and reside in Trumbull or abutting counties. The festival is Aug. 9-11, and the pageant will be Aug. 9 at 2 p.m.

Ham radio classes
YOUNGSTOWN -- Mahoning Valley Amateur Radio Association will conduct amateur radio classes for six weeks beginning July 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the ITT Technical Institute, 1030 N. Meridian Road. These classes will help students learn basic radio theory in preparation for taking a ham radio license exam.
Students successfully passing this exam will earn an entry-level license from the Federal Communications Commission. License exams will be given to students Aug. 28 at the conclusion of the course.
The classes are free, but students will be required to purchase a study guide for $15 at the first class. Registration deadline is July 3. Call Jerry or Bonnie Viele at (330) 534-1394. Please do not call the ITT Technical Institute for information.
