District VFW Auxiliary holds installation

STRUTHERS -- Members of the District 8 VFW Auxiliary met June 2 at Louis J. Campbell VFW 3538 hall for election and installation of officers for 2002-2003.
Those elected to lead the organization are Wanda Thompson, president; Barbara Timblin, senior vice president; Sandra Graves, junior vice president; Darlene Adams, chaplain; Patricia Malinowski, treasurer; Candy Brooks, conductress; Gloria Thon, guard; and Faye Doyle, three-year trustee.
Installation of the new officers followed the election with Donna Russo conducting the ceremony. Other installing officers were Chloe Williams, installing secretary; Marjorie Watson, installing conductress; and Emma Gilanyi, assistant conductress.
The District 8 picnic is set for noon to 6 p.m. July 7 at Capt. Brady VFW 3703 in Kent. Members should contact their local post or auxiliary for tickets.
The Department of Ohio Council of Administration meeting will be held July 26-28 in Cleveland.
