ASSOCIATIONS
XColumbiana-Mahoning County Beekeepers Association will hold a Get Acquainted meeting June 23 at 41891 state Route 558, Leetonia, beginning with a covered dish dinner at 1 p.m. and business session at 2. GUILDS
XThe Youngstown Chapter, Embroiderers Guild of America Inc., will meet at 10 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. June 25 at the I.O.O.F. hall in Canfield. Participants will learn how to hand dye cotton floss. For information call (330) 758-3837.
POLITICAL GROUPS
XMahoning County Republican Women's Club will hold its annual picnic at noon June 25 at the Republican Headquarters on Route 224, Boardman. Reservations should be made by Thursday by calling (330) 799-9565 or (330) 799-6883. There will be games and prizes. No meetings will be held in July and August.
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XCourt Bishop James McFadden 1650, Catholic Daughters of the Americas, will hold its annual picnic at 12:30 p.m. June 27 at Georgianna Parker Pavilion in Boardman Township Park. Those attending should take a casserole and table service. Guests are welcome. Hostesses will be Joann Reilley, chairman, and Barbara Rock and Rosalie DelMonte. XCatholic Alumni Club will have a picnic from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 29 at the Georgeanna Parker Pavilion at Boardman Township Park. Cost is $5 per person, and those attending should take a favorite board game. Reservations should be made by Thursday by calling (330) 755-0113.
SUPPORT GROUPS
XMahoning Valley American Cancer Society will sponsor a "Look Good ... Feel Better" program from 6 to 8 p.m. June 24 at the Community Health Connection at the Eastwood Mall, Niles. The program is for women who wish to learn techniques to help ease appearance-related side effects of cancer treatment. Volunteer cosmetologists, trained in this area, will provide tips.
