ALL-OHIO SOFTBALL Nine area girls receive coaches honors

Nine area softball players received all-Ohio honors by the state coaches association.
Boardman High third baseman Gina Rango was named to the Division I second team while Poland pitcher Sarah Knill was named honorable mention for Div. II.
In Div. III, South Range pitcher Jenn Toth was named second team while Champion outfielder Jessica Rowland received honorable mention.
In Div. IV, Mineral Ridge pitcher Ashley Ault and Southington pitcher Lindsay Byer were named to the first team.
Columbiana infielder Stevie Goist was named second team while Warren JFK outfielder Kelly Puskar and Jackson-Milton pitcher Corey Velk were honorable mention.
Only players whose coaches belong to the softball coaches association are eligible for district and state honors.
