AUSTINTOWN Man accused of kidnapping arraigned in county court

AUSTINTOWN -- A Liberty man accused of ordering two girls to perform sex acts on him at gunpoint has been arraigned on a felony kidnapping charge.
Mario Miller, 18, of Jefferson Court, heard the charge Thursday morning in Mahoning County Court. He posted $25,000 bond, and his next court hearing is set for Thursday.
A 15-year-old Austintown girl told police Miller offered to give her and her 14-year-old friend, also of Austintown, a ride home from a church festival on June 1. The 15-year-old said that while Miller was driving, he pulled a gun from under his seat and threatened to kill both girls unless they followed his orders. He then parked in Fountain Square, ordered the 15-year-old out of the car and suggested that the girl help him take money from her father. She said Miller said he would give her 5 percent of the money.
The girl said Miller then asked her to perform a sex act. She said no and ran to the car.
Miller then came back to the car and ordered the girls out, the 15-year-old said. She said he then pointed his gun at both teens and said it was their last chance before he killed them.
The 15-year-old said she and her friend walked away, eventually going to Wedgewood Pizza, where they called a friend for a ride.
The girls and their parents filed the police report June 4. Miller was arrested Wednesday.
